John Buonauro entered the world of fine art rather late in life. He
was born in Chicago, where he was raised, attended Morton
College, and worked. His true happiness was found when he was
surrounded by nature. Most of his free time as an adult has found
him hiking mountain trails, deep canyons, beautiful deserts and the
shorelines of both coasts. He has spent much of the past ten years
in Arizona. His deep reverence for nature has given him intimate
knowledge of his subject matter. The awe-inspiring beauty of his
unique 3-dimensional work is shown here. His unique style of carving
in wood and then painting in oils, makes each piece of work come
alive. John has recently started using some wire in a few of his
pieces for the most delicate items that can not be carved from wood. |
